Nelson Golf Club

Introduction

Founded in 1902, Nelson Golf Club is home to an 18-hole moorland golf course, designed by the famous golf architect Doctor Alister MacKenzie.

The club is situated on a plateau overlooking Nelson and Burnley, and the golf course boasts some of the most spectacular views across the pendle countryside imaginable which can be admired right across the golf course.

Alongside the picturesque views the golf course is often described as one of the best to play in Lancashire, and a golf course in excellent condition all year round. The MacKenzie design has also been skilfully planned to avoid any wearisome climbing. The course is laid out in two loops of nine whereby the 1st and 10th tees are very conveniently situated by the clubhouse.

Members and guests alike enjoy a challenging test of golf on a golf course that is not too overpowering. Your ability is tested on and around the small greens here at Nelson Golf Club. No two holes here are the same, and for these reasons well worth a visit.
