The academy membership is a membership option open to those new to golf or to those who have never experience full golf membership before.

This membership option runs for a full 12 months, but with a maximum allowance time of 2 years. The category aims to provide a prolonged taster period for membership here at Nelson Golf Club before committing to or deciding upon full membership.

As part of the academy membership, you will receive access to the golf course 6 days a week (Mon-Fri & Sunday) unrestricted, excluding competitions. You will also have access to the practice facilities and clubhouse facilities 7 days a week. Included within the clubhouse access, just like full membership, you will receive a membership card inclusive of 20% discount on food and drink, alongside an invitation to attend any club social events. Bring along family and friends also!

As part of the conditions to the membership the applicant must also agree and commit to attending a minimum of 5 x group golf lesson through the year at a cost of £5.00 per session. Alternatively, if not feasible to attend the group lesson dates, then one to one coaching sessions can be arranged with the professional.
